WHY ACCIDENTS AT WORK

Definition of Accident- The sequence of events without reasons in the interview

Cooling, 1990 - Events are not in the plans or in the control, caused by human factors, environmental conditions or a combination of factors any other factors. It will interfere with the process, may cause injury, sickness, death, damage to property thing or other unwanted events.

The causes of the accidentDivided into three main sources

1. The Human Factor

The Human Factor 

a. Negligence- Lack of focus on work- Mengalamun / daydreaming at work

b. Lack of knowledge- The work done- About the security measures of the training to do the job- The attitude of not taking what you need to know about their duties properly.


c. Not disciplined- Joking at work- Failure to comply with regulations- Take shortcuts.

Administrative Factorsa.  

-Enforcement of safety regulations are not implemented in earnestb.
-Less / no safety instructions before starting the taskc.
-Lax security controlsd. 
- No training / guidance about before starting the taske.  
-There are no set proceduresf.  
-No training in safety prevention

Physical factors

 a. Environment
- Areas where jobs are not looked into SPT is not in clean, smooth, scattered 
- The lighting is not enough work
- The noise is too high above the level should will have psychological effects, interfere with communication orlead to hearing loss
- Ventilation system is not conducive, disrupt alertness of mind and focus on individual 
- Storage, handling and disposal of non-systematically can have consequences on the environment

b. Equipment and Machinery

- Layout of machines that do not correspond to the work floor space
- The machine was old and not suitable for use more
- The machine & hand tools that are not in maintenance well
- The use of machinery or equipment the wrong hands 
- Use and storage of irregular mesi 
- Operation of the machine in ways that are not safe.

c. Wiring System 

- Wiring more than 40 years
- Defects in the wiring that causes leakage electric current 
- More than the limit load (overload)
- Additional wiring without permission 
- Incorrect wiring on equipment in use
